Sucreabeille: Sea Glass and Mango Tree review

As it warms up, this is The Time to get some of those summer reviews out just in time for my hot girl summer!

Sea Glass - Juicy mango, ripe yuzu, whipped coconut cream, sea moss, pure honey from the comb, Tahitian vanilla, salty spray.

Wet: Tropical fruit, a little bit of pineapple, coconut sugar, coconut cream and the slightest bite of salted mangos.

Dried down:  This scent has a pretty linear performance even during dry down - The same lovely burst of super sweet mango, with an assortment of tropical fruit. While the notes list yuzu, I don't really get any of that sour, zesty astringent quality that I usually associate with yuzu. The coconut also isn't super obvious to me, but has this lovely sweet coconut sugar sweetness. While honey is usually a dominant scent in Sucreabeille's scents, this is also blended effortlessly into the vanilla, and the sweet sea salt. This has little notes of aquatic qualities, like a touch of sea foam and sea salt, but it's like a sprinkle of sea salt vanilla on top of a smoothie of passionfruit, tropical juice, mango and mango sorbet.

It's lovely, sweet, a little creamy, tangy and perfect for summer - Out of Sucreabeille catalogue, this is genuinely one of their best scents.

Perfect for: Sipping Boost Juice's Passion Mango mix at a beachside spa.

Mango Tree - Mangoes with fresh green galbanum and bright pink peppercorns. A whisper of cardamom and sea salt, served under black linen canopies.

Wet: Climbing ivy and peppercorn sprinkled on laundry soap and powder.

Dried down: The laundry soap stays firm, with a rich aroma of crushed grass and ground cardamom, however at 30 minutes, the sweetness of the mango comes through a little more among the bitter grass and freshly washed sheets. While the 'mango' isn't quite as distinct as it is in Sea Glass, it has a similar tropical fruitiness. There's a real persistent note of soap and laundry, but this is a real shifter of a scent that oscillates between the sweet fruit, the laundry soap, and the resinous green of the cardamom and galbanum. Peeks of sweet mango shift and weave between the linen sheets and the scent gracefully fades softly to a wear life of 5-6 hours.

This feels a lot like if I'd spilled Sea Glass on some sheets and tried to wash it out and hung them out to dry in the backyard. I personally would have liked this more with a bit more mango, but this is a relatively unisex, mainstream leaning scent with a lot of complex nuances and an intriguing fluid performance.

Perfect for: A summer backyard pool party, with a homemade slip n' slide, mango slushies and tree houses.
