About

I'm Liz! I'm a blogger residing in Sydney, Australia - and this blog is a place for me to write about all things I enjoy talking about!

I started getting into indie perfumes around 2018 when I was diagnosed with my chronic illness, and indie scents, and this blog, was my outlet for creative work and thoughts I had - and I'm honestly grateful that this is a thing I've been able to keep close to my heart even throughout the years. I love being able to also share thoughts on things that are pretty underrated and don't get too many reviews or attention, and this is my little database. Fun fact, I used to also have this handle when I used to do makeup tutorials (back in 2012!), and it's sort of a cute little name I've kept out of nostalgia.

I have endless love for gourmands and all sweet foodie scents as my comfort scents, but I love exploring anything that's well crafted and evocative. I tend to avoid musks, and other heavy, heady blends which don't play too well with sensitive noses.

What do I do here? Well, I mostly review indie perfumes, although I also stop briefly to smell the roses of makeup, skincare, and nail polish, tea and the very rare opinion pieces that might be relevant to those topics.

I'm also a casual nail artist, working mostly with Japanese soft gels, creating press ons and also doing nail services. You can see some of my work in the nails tag, the instagram, where I like to match my nails to indie scents! I also do some traditional art, mostly dabbling in watercolors and gouache, which you might see around as well. Fun fact : I have also worked with Nui Cobalt Designs to design stickers for their fabulous April Fool's collection!

I'm also an unapologetic nerd, I love games, anime and manga (the trifecta), stand up comedy (a weird outlier) and I love talking endlessly about them. For fun, you can check back here to see the source of my most recent brainrot!

My current hyperfixation is:

One Piece! I recently watched the live action and absolutely loved it, and am in the middle of going through the anime.

If you'd like to contact me, you can find all the ways to reach me on this page.

For full disclosure, this blog is completely unmonetized - all your clicks contribute directly only to little serotonin doses for my brain!
