Softymo Makeup Remover Cold Cream Review
I really love opting for environmentally friendly makeup removers simply because so much of the time people pick travel friend makeup wipes which come in plastic packets (which are an easy option), or another option is dual-phase/water oil combo removers which you shake, use on a cotton pad, and remove from your skin.
I've never actually used cold creams before, but I really like Softymo/Lachescha's makeup removers (much better than BiFesta if you're curious and researching!) because they get absolutely everything off without too much of that awful tacky feeling on your skin.

Softymo is an offshoot brand of Kose's products, specifically made for cleansing and makeup removal, and I really love their sheet removers, but I wanted something a bit less wasteful.
The description for this product:
"It is a cleansing cream deep into pores in makeup and dirt, quickly up and down firmly. Given the moisture on your skin becomes dry and fresh skin. In addition, fingers sliding a good cream, so yours as a massage. Leads to bright your skin by massaging, and lively. Olive oils, extracts, powder White Pearl.
How to use:
Blends well with makeup, take an appropriate amount and massage gently for 2-3 mins. Rinse off with plenty of water or warm water, gently wipe with tissue paper, etc."
Like most cold creams, all you need is a little bit (depends how much makeup you have on), and you just need to rub this on your face like normal face wash cleanser and it'll get most of the product off the longer you massage it into your skin. It feels really nice after warming up on your face, and you don't have to worry about it getting everywhere like more liquid/runnier cleansers.
I like to wipe this off with either just some warm water and my hands, or if I want extra cleansing I usually use a face towel in warm water and wash it all off.
In terms of removing makeup, I definitely think this works really well. From foundation, to even the more stubborn liquid lips, depending on how long you're massaging it on your face the more it'll get off.
From what I can tell, this is eye friendly - take care not to just dunk the product in your eye because you'll be washing out your eyes for blurry vision quite a bit afterwards, but I've never had any problems with stinging or sharp pain.
You also don't need too much, I use about an Australian 50 cent piece, and that's usually enough - although you can always apply more! It's really not a lot of product needed, and the whole tub is a hefty 300g, which will last you a while.
After removing it, I also find the effects of the cleanser a lot more pleasant that the oily consistency of dual phase makeup removers, it has a nice fresh and non sticky feeling. Additionally, using too many oil removers or dual phase removers can actually clog up your skin, leading to pimples and milia, so I'd definitely recommend this.
All in all, I find that this is super convenient to use and also environmentally friendly, I really think this works really nicely and I won't have to be refilling this for a while.
This retails for around 800 JPY from what I remember - but all the online retailers have slightly different pricing. I got mine from a Japanese drug store, but unfortunately the official site product description doesn't list a price for the product.
You can get this from a variety of sites but I've linked some here!
