Clio: Mad Blur Primer Review

I'm not often someone who dabbles or reaches for primers quite often, but I have to say, this is one that I really have to hype up because I genuinely really have enjoyed this. I picked this up last month, and since then, have been using it with every foundation I own.

From Clio, this primer is currently not widely available (for some reason) but I believe is on sale in Korea, and also in Japan. Described as a soft-focus pore-blurring primer, this is definitely one of the most blurring and mattifying primers I've tried - even when trying to wipe it off the skin, it actually feels like it's a powder that blots out all the oil on the skin. They also sell a corresponding powder, but that was sold out so I wasn't able to try it, but will definitely keep an eye on in the future.

The main dot points here, works relatively well on most of my foundations, both liquid and powder (ELDW, Shiseido Revitalessence, Chanel Vitalumiere/Ultra le Teint, CT Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder - N.D I did try this with the Gucci Eternte de Beaute foundation and while it does wear better than no primer, this definitely still works the best with the Gucci Silk Primer) and has very good retention on the skin even after summer days, absolutely airbrushes out the pores on the skin and locks everything down. Unlike other silicone primers I've tried, this never gets oily and doesn't noticeably break down either even after 12 hours, and for the affordable price point and general compatibility with all the other foundations I own, I will be immediately repurchasing this when possible (whenever it gets launched).

This retails for 2640JPY for 30ml.
