Andromeda's Curse: Major Arcana Collection Wheel and Temperance Review
Wheel - Spun Sugar, Candied Apple, Caramel, Buttered Popcorn,Wood Smoke, Amber, Vanilla
Wet: A sweet, festival treat. A whole caramel apple, with an abundance of rich, sweet butter. A touch of melted candy floss, and a slight dab of sweet vanilla.
Dried down: For the early months of this scent - the scent was flecked with 'festive spice', a vague indistinct prickling of a handful of spices in any Fall/Winter blend, but it seems to have been tempered during over months of rest, blossoming into a gorgeous smokey gourmand. While the amber takes a backseat in this scent, the wood smoke in this scent is the dominant, burning heart of this scent, it's a nice, almost savoury touch to the scent - like wood chips in a smoker. This scent reminds me a little bit of Corvin's Smoked Apple (Solstice Scents), a festival celebrated with a delicious burst of crunchy caramelized apples, the lingering smudges of sweet buttered popcorn in your mouth at the last vestiges of a smoking bonfire, and warm, baked, brown sugar sprinkled on top of apples.
Perfect for: Fans of smokey, autumn apple scents.
Temperance - Sweetgrass, Rain, Aquatic Note, Evergreen, Green Note, Green Grass, Water, Lavender, Dirt, Tomato Leaf.
Wet: Think of lying on a field of grass in the early morning, tinged with morning dew, the feeling of dirt and crushed blades of grass in your fingers, the distinct crunch of freshly cut celery stems, and the taste of green tomatoes in your mouth.
Dried down: If you haven't gathered, this scent is green - and its green in a very evocative way. After dry down, there's a slight bite of lavender, not the gentle press of the lilac buds, but rather the scent when you peel or cut the stem of lavender. Imagine a cold morning, damp and cool before the streams of the sun filter through the bleary grey clouds. The fragrant smell of crushed, dewy grass lingers in the base of this scent like the feeling of cool, damp grass and some sort of fantasy, fog covered forest, and the crunch of celery and freshly washed greens. While the scent isn't obviously aquatic, the water aspect comes through as a light drizzle of rain - not quite petrichor, but somehow distinctly has the scent of rain.
Perfect for: someone who wants to smell like a field of grass in the morning after a rainstorm.
