Lucky #9: Twitchit Tea Party

For those unfamiliar, Lucky #9 is Ajevie's in house brand, and although they're not new, they have recently started to offer some more seasonal collections, alongside their bath and body products! If the scent list looks mildly familiar to some of you, this is because Lucky #9 has also acquired Mr Hex, which was an offshoot of Hexennacht's brand which carried some of their discontinued scents.  As such, you might find some scents of interest to you. Twitchit Tea Party specifically being a remake of Hexennacht's Hyrule Castle (Double bergamot earl grey tea, almond-orange tea cakes).

Having enjoyed the original version of Hyrule Castle, this is an almost identical rendition of the previous scent. Hexennacht does one of my favorite tea accords, it's aromatic and wonderfully fragrant, with both the citrus zest from the bergamot and orange jam, and the earthiness of the tannic black tea. The tea, while boasting a modest amount of bitterness also is complimented with a delicious sweetness, with a least a heaped spoonful of white sugar stirred in. Paired with that, there's a nutty, chewy almond meal, seeped in sticky orange syrup, and delicious madelines topped with orange zest. The scent overall just has a blend of both the orange and tea aroma which I really enjoy - it's a refreshing afternoon rendition of your typical 'tea' scent which is much appreciated for the warmer seasons.
