Apollo: Mythology Series

Apollo was the god of a lot of things, but something he's popular for is being the god of the sun, and his sister Artemis, the god of the moon. So I've choosen to go with the sun/burnt kinda theme for this look and I hope you'll enjoy it :D
So I've compiled my Apollo: Greek mythology tutorial for you guys, and here are some pictures to go along with it :)
First I used my Ben Nye cream shadow palette as a base.
I then used tangerine(the orange) and indian copper (the shimmery brown.) ((Blogspot won't let me rotate it!))
I used indian copper on the outer half of my upper lid, and I blended it with a finger up to my eye socket, and I used tangerine in the inner half of the lid and on the area where the lower lash line is.
(please ignore the little mistake near my eyebrows!)

Then, using Ice (white cream shadow) as a under the brow highlighter and a tear duct highlighter. I again, used my fingers. (Remember to blend!)

Then, using a matte orange, I applied it onto the inner half of my lids, and a shimmery gold onto the outer half of my lids. (These eyeshadows don't have name, but they are a 'freedom system' like palette I bought from HK) I used a large round dome brush, to ease the colors in, and to not create harsh edges.
Blend away :)
Then, using my 180 color palette, I used a shimmery bronze/brown color around where the lower lash line is.
I'm indicating both because you can use both, but it depends what sort of look you like.
I used a small smudger brush for this step.

As finishing touches, I used MUFE's black aqua liner and Heroine Make's impact and frame and curl mascara. I lined as close to my lash line as possible and winged it out for a more dramatic effect. For the lashes, you may use false lashes if you prefer.

And to finish up the look, I used a MAC sheertone blush in pinch o' peach on my cheeks and used inglot's 37 lip duo (the clear one) as a lip color. It gives a clear but shimmery covering for my lips, and it's quite moisturizing as well, which is a plus.
(You can see my roommate if you look closely xD)

And there :) Finished!
I hope you enjoyed it and that you'll like it too :)

Angel Makeup

This is a look I did for my friend which I got from a 'fallen angel' tutorial on youtube :D
((http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjEJSgi8Yvw))
Which I tweaked a bit, but credits :)
I used Inglot shadows ( with inglot 478 and 371) and Revlon's liquid liner.
But in this case, any two shades of blue, one was a sparkly baby blue, and the other was a sky blue.
I added the baby blue on the inner half of the lid and under the lash line, and the sky blue on the outer half on the lid. I then highlighted under the brow with In the Buff from Too Faced, and the tear duct.
It's pretty easy :D
And then I lined as close as the lashline as possible with the AMC 77 liner (which is a matte black) and winged it out and branched out with some pretty patterns. And I also elongated the tear duct line to make the eyes a little more elfin.
Here are some pictures :)
Hope you enjoyed it and have a great weekend!

Pan: Mythology Collaboration

This is a screenshot of my Greek Mythology inspired make up look, which is heavily inspired by Pan, the god of the wilderness, and all nature-ee things, and nymphs. Here's the wikipedia summary for him.
"Pan... is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music, as well as the companion of the nymphs."

As I haven't been able to upload any videos, I'll just be posting photos of the look and the written tutorial, and the video will come as soon as I can redo it or voiceover it.
Sorry for the bad quality, I had to screenshot from the unvoiced youtube video itself! :(

So start by applying your foundation and defining your brows.
I chose MAC's Brun eyeshadow for this step, and used Ben Nye's sheer foundation in bella 003 for my foundation.

I then went ahead, and primed my eyes, and I used Illamasqua's Bedaub (pastel green) all around the eye area.

I then went and patted Inglot's pigment in Inglot eyeshadow in 384(forest green) on the inner half of my upper lid. Then  I patted on Inglot eyeshadow in 472(army green double sparkle) on the outer half of the lid.

Then, using Brun again, I went into the area slightly above the crease, defined it.
Then, I swept Inglot 447 on the lower lash line, and added a little of Inglot pigment in 57 just to define the outer lash lines. (the outer V, but on the lash line, not the crease)

I then used Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Mildew on the lower lash line and using Mehron's mixing liquid, used Inglot pigment in 57 (dark green) drew a winged liner on the upper lash line, making sure they connected.
I then highlighted underneath the brow and added sparkly white pigment to the tearducts.
You can finish up with mascara or falsies!
I then added bronzer lightly all over my face (I used some.. fancy jar of bronzer that was just lying around!) and concentrated more of it on my cheeks.
I finished the look off with a lipgloss, a lightly bronze shimmery nude, from H&M. Not sure what the name is but I'll change this as soon as I find it!
So I hope this helped!
Ignore the weird face! xD

White and Black Cut Crease

It was something that I hadn't done before, as a very dramatic black and white cut crease (generic but hard because of the need to have very contrasting colors yet blending the white and black effortlessly.)
I was happy with the way it turned out, personally, although I still have trouble getting falsies to stay on my lashline, as my hooded eye lids don't like to be nice to me.
I used mostly Inglot products once again, using the MAC liner in 76, a black pencil aqua liner(MUFE), a white pencil eyeliner(brandless) and white and black eyeshadow (both from Inglot) and some dramatic false lashes to top the whole thing off :D

I personally didn't think it looked the best, but having to contrast the eyeshadow colors so much is hard, so I'm working on it!

Cinderella Eyes

An photo of tamed down cinderella eyes, with inglot 478 and 371, inglot amc liner in 77 and majolica majorca's lash expander plus mascara.
Pretty straightforward, but pretty fun to wear :)

IMATS Haul

Managed to take a picture with Pursebuzz :D ((yeah I know. I look so bad its not funny))

IMATS 2011 had been a pretty fun experience. After waking up at. around 9, I dragged myself to the city/darling habour, without any make up, being the tired grumpy anti-morning person I am :D
I had a pretty good time, walking around and swatching like a maniac, and sitting in on the Pursebuzz talk (sadly, I wasn't one of the lucky ones who got to get a free pigment jar) but being early, there weren't a LOT of people around yet. Nor was the body painting thing really going on.
I managed to find OCC lip tars. But having to wait 5 hours until everyone's cleared away from the liptars and having to dish out $13 for one after spending all your money on other things hurts a little.
Thus I only managed to get one.
It .. took me so long to get to the counter.
Let's not even get started on Inglot. The whole place was crowded, and the whole process took me around 2 hours. Also, being a regular customer of Inglot, nothing really stood out to me (besides the new release of the rainbow freedom system colors), but there was a discount.. of which I forgot.
Most of the other stores were pretty crowded, except for a select few (photography and some special effects stalls)
But moving on...
So, what I got. (Prices listed if I remember.)
Crown Brushes-
Nail Art Brush set- 11 brushes for $10 AUD.

Small smudger brush (natrual hair)
Angled liner brush (synthetic)

Creme eyeshadow palette

And that's it I think xD
